New Poll: Geraldine Thompson Leads SD 15 Race

Melbourne, FL – State Rep. Geraldine Thompson leads State Rep. Kamia Brown in the District 15 Democratic primary for Florida State Senate, according to a new poll conducted by RMG Research for U.S. Term Limits. Overall, 26 percent of likely Democratic voters in SD-15 support Thompson while 19 percent support Brown.

The poll also found that 81 percent of district voters support congressional term limits, an issue Thompson has championed throughout her time in public service. While serving in the House, Thompson cast a deciding committee vote in favor of the congressional term limits convention, making Florida the first state in the nation to pass that legislation. Thompson has also signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge to protect Florida’s 8-year term limits and defend the convention resolution from repeal. Kamia Brown has not signed either pledge.

“You won’t find a legislator in Florida with a better track record on term limits than Geraldine Thompson,” said Nick Tomboulides, Executive Director of U.S. Term Limits. “That record continues to resonate with voters in a very positive way.”

This RMG Poll of 300 likely voters in Florida State Senate District 15 has a margin of error of +/- 5.7%. RMG Research is owned and operated by Scott Rasmussen.
