In order to make the best use of our resources, we must have a laser focus on passage of our model legislation through key battleground states. The states highlighted on the map below are being targeted as most likely to apply for an Article V Term Limits Proposal Convention. We hope you will do what you can to get your state to pass the term limits model legislation. If your state isn’t listed and you are still interested in getting involved, please let us know. We must get 34 states to pass this important application.
Click on your state to contact your representative and tell him or her you support an amendment that imposes Term Limits on Congress.
If your state is not highlighted, you may contact your state legislator here.
A massive national movement to limit the terms of the U.S. Congress has been launched and these are the states that have been identified as our best chance to get the proper legislation passed.
It is now clear that the fastest way to impose term limits on Congress is through a term limits convention as authorized by Article V of the U.S. Constitution. If two-thirds (34) of the states call for an amendment proposal convention for the sole purpose of proposing term limits, the term limits convention ‘shall’ be called. The resulting proposed amendment would go back to the states — not the Congress — for ratification. Using this gift of the Constitution, we can and will bypass Congress.
Will your state be one of the first to apply for a Term Limits Convention?
The answer can be YES, with your help.
