U.S. Term Limits Praises Grant Golasa for Signing Pledge

Grand Rapids, MI – U.S. Term Limits (USTL), the leader in the national, non-partisan movement to limit terms for elected officials, is gathering support from elected officials across Michigan. Its mission is to advocate for term limits on all elected officials. House candidate Grant Golasa (district 36), has committed to defend term limits in Michigan by signing the term limits pledge.

USTL President, Philip Blumel, commented on Golasa’s pledge saying, “Grant’s support of term limits shows that there are individuals who are willing to listen to the majority of voters who want term limits. The people are best served by citizen legislators, not career politicians.”

The pledge is provided to candidates and elected officials statewide. It reads, “I pledge to take no action that would aid or abet the abolition or lengthening of term limits to which elected officials in Michigan are subject.”

According to the latest nationwide poll on term limits conducted by Scott Rasmussen, term limits enjoys wide bipartisan support. Rasmussen’s analysis states, “Support for term limits is broad and strong across all political, geographic and demographic groups.  An overwhelming 82% of voters approve of term limits.”
