Surprise surprise! Governments cannot create wealth. Nor jobs.

Those of us who watched Fox News Sunday on October 11 were reminded of that fact by guest Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana.
Daniels pointed out that any beneficial effect of the so-called Stimulus Bill had been slow if at all.
What is needed, the Governor maintained, is for government to improve the environment so that people [not government] will invest and take risks so that they can create wealth for the benefit of each other.
But that is not all. Also appearing on Fox News Sunday was Steve Wynne, Chairman and CEO of Wynne Resorts, who made a startling observation that priories should have been on job creation.
This was not startling to the tax-and-spend Democrats, who flock like lemmings positioning themselves behind their President, whose unbridled spending has created a 1.4 Trillion Dollar Annual Deficit. Not debt, mind you, but deficit, repeating itself every year.
The average common-sense voter knows that priories should have been on job creation.
With a goal of job creation, Wynne insists, then with an expenditure of only eight to nine billion dollars could have yielded four to five million jobs.
