Scooter, the Border Guards and Our "Gallant" President
In a gross miscarriage of justice, a runamok Special Prosecutor whose name might have been Mike Nifong, and an outrageous hanging judge threw the book at Scooter Libby, exceeding sentencing guidelines, because Libby showed no remorse. And why should he show remorse when he knew he was innocent?
So our gallant President, returns from the G-8 meeting and rushes to Congress to tell Congressional Republicans they must pass a law to give amnesty to illegal immigrants, after doing nothing about illegals for six years, when all he had to do was enforce the laws already on the books. (See Newt Gingrich’s solution on these pages, which neither the mainstream media nor even Fox News want to talk about.)
Our gallant President wants to give amnesty to millions of illegals but doesn’t have the spine to do what he ought to do, which is to pardon not only Scooter Libby, a patriot who has served his country honorably and well, but also two border agents for doing their duty (See “We need compassion for our border guards” on these pages).
What has gotten into the President we used to love! For shame.
