President v. Vice President

Citizens for Term Limits … for a fresh Congress!
May 23, 2009
Someone pointed out that the White House is now looking for the genius who came up with the idea of an unnecessary debate between the President of the United States and an out-of work retired former Vice President . . . Where Barack Obama came off second best.
By ironically immersing himself in a backdrop of our nation’s Founding Documents—he is the biggest destroyer in history of the principles represented by those Documents—Obama set himself up to be outshown by retired public servant Dick Cheney.
But before he left the job of Vice President of the United States, which he held for 2,689 days after the horror of 9-1, the United States was kept safe. Cheney never claimed credit for himself, only that he had inside knowledge of what happened.
In a methodical, unemotional factual recitation of happenings during the post 9-11 tenure by the Bush presidency, Cheney presents the final irrefutable fact: For the rest of that time the American people were kept safe from further terrorist attacks.
I have been critical of President G. W. Bush for many reasons — But failure to protect us isn’t one of them.
Nor did Bush, unlike Obama, ever publicly court favor with various European countries, making the desire to be liked a part of his policy.
And a question I have heard no one raise: When the nation is at war, since when have we ever released enemy prisoners of war before that war was over? And when American lives are at stake, when do we quibble about how severe are the means by which we extract life-saving intelligence? Meaning thousands, perhaps millions of lives? Meaning American lives?
Cheney’s most damning assertion is that while telling us how bad they think waterboarding is, Obama et al refuse to let us see the benefits gained therefrom. Although Cheney knows the facts he is unable to reveal them to us. Why? Because the information is
classified!
Cheney wrote:
believe this information will confirm the value of interrogations—and I am not alone. President Obama’s own Director of National Intelligence, Admiral Blair, has put it this way: “High value information came from interrogations in which those methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the al-Qaeda organization that was attacking this country.” End quote. Admiral Blair put that conclusion in writing, oonly to see it mysteriously deleted in a later version released by the administration—the missing 26 words that tell an inconvenient truth [emphasis ours]. BBut they couldn’t change the words of George Tenet, the CIA Director under Presidents Clinton and Bush, who bluntly said: “I know that this program has saved lives. I know we’ve disrupted plots. I know this program alone is worth more than the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the National Security Agency put together have been able to tell us.”
We are looking at an administration which plays fast and loose with our nation’s security And whose declassifier-in-chief is Barack Hussein Obama, who is never above shading the truth, especially when being sure “not to let a good crisis go to waste.”
By trying to do what has never worked, which Franklin D. Roosevelt proved would not work, Obama is spending a recession into a full-blown depression, spending trillions upon trillions of dollars we don’t have, stealing from our children and their unborn issue. No nation in history has been able to spend its way to prosperity.

Citizens for Term Limits believes that America can take back its Congress in the 2010 election and stop the Obama machine in its tracks.
But time is not on our side. Yes we want a constitutional amendment. But first we need a friendly Congress.
We urge all our supporters to do what costs no money, only a little time. You can do what many of our supporters are already doing, which is to contact immediate neighbors, as well as friends and family across the country. When we were getting started in Louisiana years ago, our group combined Christmas Card lists!
Please be sure to send them all to our web address, which is www.termlimits.com. Urge them.
No one but you knows the best way to approach each of your friends/family.
BUT:
Be sure they each sign up for the free bumper sticker. It is the only way we grow. Ask them to mention your name when they sign up.
And tell each of them to then pass this on to their own friends—and then on to theirs, and so on, like a chain letter, but not for money; rather for our country.
After a couple of days, remind them. We all have a tendency to let things slide if we don’t do them right away.
And thank you all for your faithful participation. We need you! More importantly, our country needs what you are doing!
FYI: You can also contact the Glenn Beck television show and tell them you believe a representative from Citizens for Term Limits should explain congressional term limits on his broadcast.
Warmest regards to all,
Rense Johnson
