President Obama has built his own fence...which now surrounds him.

Unbridled spending, we have repeatedly said, never brings any country out of a recession, but can deepen a recession into a full-blown depression. This has left us with an annual deficit of at least 1.67 Trillion Dollars, that is if we use the lower of the range estimated by the Congressional Budget Office according to CNNMoney.com. A deficit, it should be repeated, is the amount by which we taxpayers and our children and grandchildren all go further in debt, year after year.
That’s right, year after year after year.
And pollster Scott Rasmussen tells us that Obama’s popularity continues to plummet.
A recent Fox News—Opinion Dynamics Poll reported that of those polled:
- 40% wanted government to be working on creating jobs,
- 25% wanted the government to be working on the deficit and spending.
- Only 13% favored health care.
Think of it! Americans want Jobs 3-1 over health care, and want control of the deficit almost 2-1 over health care.
As jobless numbers continue to climb.
Meanwhile, Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, negotiates behind closed doors – for what: A bill to be offered to both houses of Congress in defiance of such strong feelings?
Do Obama and Emanuel not read these polls? What then are they plotting?
Something like the first Stimulus Bill, which was doctored up after congressional passage but before the presidential signature?
And why did the Democrat Congress vote against putting the bill up for 72 hours so we could read it? What are they hiding?
And why can’t they write a bill in simple language, intended to be understood clearly by us taxpayers, as were our Founding Documents?
Can we trust these people, who write a bill full of Gobbledygook, to be interpreted any way they want?
Not at all.
And if we had had congressional term limitation in our Constitution 15 years ago this would not even be an issue today.
