Pay, Perks and Pensions...and Pork

I have often criticized the U. S. Congress because it sets its own Pay, Perks and Pensions
To this another “P” should be added – Pork.
Yes, Pork in the form of earmarks which Senators in both parties have been unwilling to forgo.
According to Real Clear Politics, six of the top ten Senate Porkers were Republicans:
McConnell, KY $51M
Inhofe, OK $53M
Murkowski, AK $74M
Cochran, MS $76M
Bond, MO $86M
Shelby, AL $114M
Total: $454M
Republicans, the minority party in the Senate, comprised six of the top ten Senate Porkers, the Dems only four. Those six accounted for nearly Half a Billion Dollars,
A primer on how the minority can stay in the minority.
Please go back and look at the article we have posted: “How many zeros in a billion?” It puts Billions in perspective.
Most of these Senators had been heroes of mine until I learned that they have feet of clay.
Elsewhere on this website we point out that not only is our nation broke (it is—flat broke), but even worse, we are upside-down to the tune of Eighty Trillion Dollars, a horiffic burden to inflict on our children and their unborn issue.
John MeCain calls it generational theft. The above six Senators are particpating thieves.
For Shame.
