Mubarak Resigns
Only with today’s instantaneous world-wide television, impossible a mere decade ago, has the world been able to watch the Egyptian drama unfold as former dictator Hosni Mubarak is forced out of office.
Now we watch with apprehension as all the real work begins, recognizing that Islamist extremists, small but well-organized, are waiting to take control of the country unless proper steps are taken to frustrate such an effort.
Parties will form and elections will be held, And, hopefully, a leader will emerge, likely chosen from among several.
And we will be able to watch as Egypt begins to put itself back together.
