Get Some Tasty Dunkin’ Donuts

by Amanda B. Carpenter, Human Events 6-2-06

Thanks to Michelle Malkin for picking up this article that explains beginning today Dunkin’ Donuts will not be hiring illegal workers.

The company has decided to participate in the voluntary Basic Pilot Program that verifies a worker status using an online database from the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security.

In an email to the Boston Globe, Dunkin’ Brands Inc. Chief Legal Officer Stephan Horn said the company made the decision because of “the growing awareness of the hiring and employment of undocumented workers and the difficulty faced by employers for screening new hires within the confines of the law.”

There are approximately 50,000 Dunkin Donuts stores across the nation.

As Malkin put it “National security never tasted so good.”
