Destroying America

Responding to an immigration editorial in the Wall Street Journal by California’s Governor Schwarzenegger
Gov. Schwarzenegger and millions upon millions of other people came to America at a time when the business-political structure was much different than it is now. The greed for money and power on the part of our federal, state and local politicians conspiring in concert with agriculture and big business have virtually destroyed the America that existed little more than 30 years ago.
No one likes to see another person hurt, their hopes and dreams denied or their suffering worsened for any reason. But, that is the result of what America has been turned into by the governing structure we live under. We are being forced to watch helplessly as the same people who created the illegal immigration mess insist on continuing it to their advantage while everyday American citizens continue to pay the dearest price of all, which is the loss of our heritage and identity as a nation.
Added to that price is the enormous burdens of increased taxes, decreased security, decreased opportunities for our own citizens and being forced into dividing ourselves against each other as well as against people from other countries that want to live and work in the United States and even become citizens.
It is the Congresses that forgot that immigrants are good people, just like they forgot that their own constituents are good people. They also forgot the oaths that they each took swearing to defend and uphold the law of our land, not manipulate nor reform it to suit their personal desires, nor do the same in order to bail the country out of a monster crisis they themselves created.
We do not need a new law. We need to gut the political-big business systems of the bad seeds that are there now. This includes the White House and virtually every elected official serving in the federal, state and local governments. In reverse that is the chain which each uses by blame in order to perpetuate the problem of illegal immigration for higher and higher profit.
